What's New? Engines for Education is pleased to announce that, due to the generous support of Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, we have completed our full-year Health Sciences curriculum. We will offer approximately 100 students the opportunity to be the first participants in this new program. Any schools that want to offer this exciting full-year alternative to the existing school year, or any parents who wish to offer this curriculum to home-schooled children, should contact us now. In addition, students can enroll virtually in those schools and receive U.S. high school credit for participating in the Health Sciences curriculum through the schools who have already signed on. Mentoring can be done by teachers or parents with a science background or can be provided by Socratic Arts (the for-profit arm of Engines for Education). Students work in teams of at least three, so homeschoolers should have arranged for their teams before signing up. If you are interested in participating but are unable to form a team there may still be an opportunity for you to participate by teaming you up with other students who are interested in this exciting offering in a similar situation (may require regular long-distance communication via phone and/or internet). To register, Contact Us. In your e-mail, be sure to include:
The Health Sciences curriculum is part of the Virtual International Science and Technology Academy (VISTA).
