We must be prepared to be flexible in the way we try to tap into our children's innate interests. For instance, if children do not like the notion of doing dissection, they might instead find it fun to play-act the role of a white blood cell in a drama built around biology. Or, perhaps they will find using the analogy of biology practical when they are trying to design some mechanical structure. If one approach doesn't work, we should drop it and try another.
