Types of Knowledge not to Teach

Facts should be strikingly absent from any list of the types of knowledge we should teach students. Why? Because students will learn the facts they need when they need them. We do not have to teach students facts. When the schools do take the teaching of facts as a goal and teach them in isolation, students do not usefully learn them anyway.
